I thought at first that this would be an interesting book, but it read more like a family genealogy than a story of survival. It is slow reading and more suited for intimate family members than the general public.

I realize that it is memoir, but with a little effort it could have a been a riveting short story. I wouldn't recommend it.

Sobering reading but found the english poor & repetitive. Was a little disappointed.
Some of these Holocaust survivors truly had courage & determination to survive
Bernie does a wonderful job telling such a hard story. I have learned so much about resilience and strength from his personal experiences. I am so glad that he and his family were willing to share their lives.
it was unbelievable what this girl did to survive Hitler's war. It was avwey good red from beginningto end

I'm not a big fan of autobiographies..... It seemed factual and was ok just too boring for me personally. My kid is going to try it though
This is a well written and most charming account of the dak days of which we must never forget. book so of course delivered instantly
I own over 500 Holocaust books and I'm glad to add this book to my collection. The first half of the
book was really good and I didn't want to put the book down. the other half of the book was written
mostly for the family and close friends because it was about his health.
